Finacta Portal - Go Live

We wanted to take this opportunity to speak about the launch of the Finacta Portal, which went live on 1st January 2023. The Portal was developed to help clients like you find everything you need in one place and become even more closely integrated with your finance team at Finacta. We hope you like it.

To celebrate this launch, all clients under a service plan will receive 24 months free access to the web portal (currently £30 + VAT per month per company/instance). Invites and Promo Codes will be sent out during Q1 Calendar 2023, as we roll out the service to clients in phases.

Dynamic Management Accounts

Our ambition is for all clients to be fully converted over to Dynamic Management Accounts, our web-based equivalent of the current PDF, during 2023. Dynamic Management Accounts allows for live sync data retrieve from Xero, Key Performance Indicators, dynamic filtering, line-item drill down, online approval tracking and a downloadable PDF. Currently other systems are not supported, but we plan to create a QuickBooks and Sage Business Cloud integration in the future.

Chat

We wanted to create Chat to help reduce emails when needed. You can search Finacta Advisors by typing the word Advisor into the People search box, then click Chat against the person you’d like to chat to. You can also use Chat to share files and to speak to other users added to your company, such as employees. Group chats are currently not supported.

File Share & Storage

We wanted a more secure and user-friendly experience than Dropbox and emails. Starting 1st February 2023 (as part of the January month end closing process and beyond), important documents or files will be shared on the Portal. There is a dedicated section for Bank Statements and other folders for different categories, such as Annual Accounts & Corporation Tax, Confirmation Statements and Payroll. Bank Statement reminder emails will continue for the short term, with the upload link redirecting to the Finacta Portal.

Company Admins may add new folders and files. Files you or your employees upload will default to category Business Upload, our team will be notified of any files you upload and can acknowledge those files within the app. You will see who acknowledged what and when. Similarly, you may see an Advisor Upload or Requires Approval file uploaded by us. You will be notified in the portal and can acknowledge or approve these files using the 3 dots on the right.

Blog

We want you to be informed about news or information that benefits your business. Internal Objectives are now aligned to this strategy, and we expect to have 3 pieces of content a quarter covering Small Business, Tax and Technology. The intention here is for more short-form content exclusive to subscribers.

User Management

As an invitee, you will become the Company Admin for your business. This means you have control over your subscription and can cancel any time. If you cancel after 24 months, you will still receive Standard Management Accounts as a PDF if continuing on a Service Plan (but without the benefit and tools available in the Portal!). You may decide to invite other users to your companies. These users become Standard Users and can see everything you can, except they cannot see or manage users, subscriptions or see invoices from Finacta. We’re planning further role-based access options in the future.

Multi-company Support

We have many clients who are involved in more than one business. Like Xero, a Company Admin can add new companies within the Companies section of the Portal. Currently, Dynamic Management Accounts are integrated by us in each company, which is one reason why the Portal is invite only for now. We hope to make this a self-serve feature in Q1 Calendar.

Roadmap

Our priority for Q1 is onboarding and making sure that Dynamic Management Accounts are integrated and legacy files (e.g. Management Accounts, Annual Accounts & Self Assessments) are all uploaded for our clients. We will also publish our development roadmap for beyond March 2023. A priority development on the roadmap will be the introduction of a new Portal Role, Company Employee, allowing employees on payroll to view historical documents related to their pay and employment (but no other areas of the app), such as Payslips and P60s.

We hope you are as excited as we are for this next step in our service evolution! We're also keen to hear your feedback once you have your Promo Code and have registered, so do let us know on Chat.

Thanks !
